About this workshop
Become comfortable with your vulnerable parts.
Often inner voices push us to be better, faster, stronger, to be more perfect, to be the so called “best version of yourself”.
Sometimes these voices can be helpful – sometimes they wear us down.
This experiential space is an invitation to reflect on your inner drivers, encounter them playfully and physically, and discover new ways of coping with them.
This creates space to develop psychological flexibility – the ability to calmly face inner pressure and external challenges and consciously shape your life according to your values.
What concepts we use
Psychological Flexibility: Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Inner Drivers: Be Strong, Be Perfect, Try Hard, Hurry Up, Please Others
Physical Theatre & Embodiment
Workshop Format
Most of the time we are in our heads trying to rationalize our thoughts and beliefs. True and lasting change is happening when we include the experience of our body.
1. Arriving in the Space & Connective Encounters
Movement and interaction tasks help us to create a grounded space and arrive in our bodies.
2. Inner Drivers and Psychological Flexibility as a Concept
Start to understand the psychological concepts of inner drivers and find out about your own personal patterns.
3. Exploration & Experience
Explore these concepts, using posture, voice and movement. Notice what shows up most strongly for you and deepen into it solo and in partner exercises. Experiment with theatrical and interactive forms to encounter yourself from different perspectives.
- Five Inner Drivers
- Personal Drivers
- Uncomfortable Belief
- Alternative Responses
In this process we will challenge our habitual patterns and move beyond the automatic reaction into more flexible possibilities.
4. Reflection & Integration
In certain moments we ask you to pause and observe. What has just happened? We use tools such as writing and small group exchanges.
Your Instructors
Tobias Hoffmann
Tobi (he/him), psychologist (M.Sc.) and therapist in training (Systemic Therapy), brings together psychology, embodiment, and play — creating spaces where body and mind can connect. As a member of the German Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, he is especially passionate about cultivating psychological flexibility and exploring new ways of relating to ourselves.
Elke Kalupar
Elke (she/they) is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer researching human interaction through movement and inside group dynamics. Their approach is using improvisation, physical theatre and elements from partnering, authentic movement, viewpoints and more. Elke likes to work with the primal and instinctual, offering a space where we can unlearn.

Meet the voices that drive you — the ones that demand speed, perfection, or constant effort — and discover how to move with them instead of against them.
Frequently Asked QUestions
I can't make it to the workshop anymore, what can I do?
Until two weeks in advance to the workshop you can cancel, and get 50% refund. After that no refund is possible. You can always join the next workshop that is happening if you can not attend. Please let me know via e-mail.
I have no experience in movement, can I come?
The Connective Movement Class does not require any prior experience and is good for any level of fitness, if you have any injuries or limitations, remember to communicate them before your session starts. Just be open to experience new sensations and possibilities of movement in your body.
There are workshops and advanced classes, please read the description before or write an e-mail if you have any doubts.
What should I wear?
Bring comfortable clothes that you can move in freely. We suggest nothing that is flowing around too much and can distract you when it's not sitting in place. My recommendation is to work barefoot and with long pants. Bring some water to cleanse your system after the session.
